This 16th century Hotel is happily situated within Canterbury's historic city walls, just across the road from the magnificent Marlowe Theatre. In a perfect location for all of the local tourist attractions and one of England's finest sights, Canterbury Cathedral, is a mere two minute walk away. Being in the heart of the city means we are only a stone's throw away from all of the shops, restaurants and bars. Being tucked away just off the High St means our rooms are quieter than most other city hotels. It is also only a 10 minute walk from Canterbury West station allowing for easy access to all the surrounding areas and a 50 minute train journey into London. Pilgrims Hotel itself is filled with historic architecture and character as well as all the modern necessities you would expect including free wifi, TV and radio, tea and coffee making facilities in every room. The Hotel has a wide selection of rooms ranging from a single to a family room. So whether you are travelling for business, on a romantic get away or a family holiday, there is something that is bound to suit your needs. There is also discounted parking tickets available to those that have travelled by car. These can be collected from the hotel on arrival and used in any of the local car parks situated a short walk away.
A compact double room for two guests, with a private en-suite bathroom. It's good value for couples who mainly need a comfortable place to sleep. It makes an easy, practical base for a day or two exploring Canterbury.
As expected the Hotel has lots of charm with easy access to the centre of Canterbury; the room was clean with a comfortable bed; I had a nice Continental breakfast all in all meet all expectations for what I required for a short stay in Canterbury
Breakfast is plentiful and good, but I knocked off one point because it is Continental, not English fried. Having said that, I wouldn't really expect a Full English for the price I paid, and obviously, many guests come over from France - and they wouldn't want it anyway.

Title: Body: Nice old building which was very clean. Lots of stairs so not so good for people with mobility problems. We had a leak in the bathroom from old radiator and toilet and were given another room without any hassle. Freedom to come and go as we pleased. Also parking deal so we could leave the car knowing it was quite safe. Staff were all very pleasant. The bar was good, staffed by receptionist so no bustling room but quiet and restful. We have been to this hotel three times now and find it very good for a quiet weekend.
Disappointed with continental breakfast. Full English ask the way.
